“He that hath this cup in hand
Drink up the dram
Let it not stand”
-(most likely a Celtic saying)
The Dram Shop is Montana’s first dedicated, stand alone growler fill station. Founded by Zach and Sarah Millar, The Dram Shop is located in the historical mercantile warehouse building in Missoula, Montana on Front St., next to The Trailhead.
If you are a fan of craft beer, and we’re guessing you are, you know that there’s no shortage of places to grab a pint or fill a growler! Around every corner there’s a great brewery, winery, or cidery making high quality craft beverages, and we couldn’t be happier about all of these fantastic options. After all, that’s why we created The Dram Shop!
With 37 taps of draught beer, wine, cider, soda and bottle selection, The Dram Shop is a family friendly place where you can sit back, have a bite to eat, and fill a growler with whatever you would like to take home with you, or on your next adventure! We’re now serving a select menu from The Pearl and Market on Front (just call in your order from The Dram Shop and they will bring it to you!)
The Dram Shop caters to the strength of the local craft brewing industry with more than three dozen regional craft beer and wine offerings and is the first of its kind in the state. The path from dream to reality, born on a spring break family outing, spanned nearly one year to the date. McNelis Architects and Mast and Co. Builders worked side by side with the proprietors to articulate their dream.
The space was designed to support the local arts scene with gallery quality lighting design as an integral part of the interior design. At the opening weekend, the large format work of local photographer Tom Robertson donned the walls for Downtown Missoula’s First Friday Art Walk. The design included a fair amount of sustainable and innovative constructions in wood, acrylic and stainless steel.
Come on by The Dram Shop, have a drink, fill a growler. Maybe you’ll try something new…
